The Village of Windham is looking for vendors for the farmers' market at the Windham Community Building, from 5 to 7 p.m. every third Thursday, February through April. Local food and craft vendors wanted. Call 330-646-9361 for more information.
Terrie Altiere was formally sworn in as mayor by village Solicitor Charles Gasior on Dec. 16. Mayor Altiere was appointed to fill the vacant mayoral seat and will serve in this capacity through Dec. 31, 2027.
From the Windham Police Department: Until Dec. 25, Windham PD officers will be providing individuals who are pulled over for minor traffic infractions a “Warning for Christmas Morning” voucher instead of a traffic citation.

Hello Windham Family! Post-Labor Day in Bomber Country always seems to be a turning point or symbolic start of a new year. September has a back-to-school/new year vibe that is hard for me to ignore. Author Gretchen Rubin first remarked that “September is the other January” in her book “Happier at Home.” Gretchen noted that “Each year, Labor Day was a milestone that provoked self-evaluation and reflection.”
August is such a special time in Bomber Country. Fall sports are gearing up, the excitement of back-to-school is in the air, and hints of autumn are beginning to show. More than just a change in the calendar, back-to-school season carries a feeling of anticipation, renewal and possibility. As students head back to class after a long summer break, we welcome a new school year filled with opportunities, growth and fresh beginnings.

Happy March, Bomber Country! The time has changed, and longer days are on the horizon. Seeing the sun up past 7 p.m. has done wonders for my soul. The WYBSO 2025 Spring season registration is now open for Baseball, Softball, and Tee ball! This year registration will be online only.
