Annual Marty Hill Golf Outing looking for donors

The annual Marty Hill Bomber Golf Outing will be on June 21 this year. This event started out as a basketball fundraiser and then morphed into an event to help build the baseball/softball complex. Now that the fields are completed, the profits from this event go to many things, including but not limited to, cheer uniforms, track uniforms, baseball equipment, field maintenance supplies, the alumni banquet, basketball supplies, etc. The hardest thing about running this event is asking people for donations. However, donations are obviously necessary to make the event possible. If interested, a person can donate in two ways.

1. Donation of prizes: We are always looking for prizes for holes. These include gift cards, golf balls, rounds of golf, baskets, etc.
2. Hole sponsors : Anyone can sponsor a hole. The hike can say anything you would like.

In the past, people sponsored holes in memory of their loved ones, in honor of their graduation class, in honor of a child or friend, in honor of the athletic team, etc. $100 for a full sign or $70 for a half sign. Checks made payable to the Windham Athletic Boosters.

If anyone would like to donate to this event, you can mail things to Heather Fall at 3186 S.R. 5, Newton falls, OH 44444, or you can drop them off to me at the school any day school is in session. Thank you.

Around Windham: Fall is the new New Year

- by Nicole Sweet .

Hello Windham Family! Post-Labor Day in Bomber Country always seems to be a turning point or symbolic start of a new year. September has a back-to-school/new year vibe that is hard for me to ignore. Author Gretchen Rubin first remarked that “September is the other January” in her book “Happier at Home.” Gretchen noted that “Each year, Labor Day was a milestone that provoked self-evaluation and reflection.”
