Paris Township will hold its annual “Breakfast with Buddy” – Buddy the Elf – from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9 at the Shearer Community Center at 9355 Newton Falls Rd.

The Rootstown Area Chamber of Commerce Business Expo will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21 at NEOMED at 4209 state Route 44. There will be some 40 vendors showcasing their businesses and passing out candy. Averting a strike, Southeast and its teachers’ union agreed on wage increases and student discipline
Southeast teachers have reached a tentative agreement with the district’s board of education, averting a strike that could have had district students starting the year with substitute teachers.
Teachers in the Southeast Local School District have authorized their union leadership to issue a 10-day strike notice if a bargaining session set for Aug. 9 doesn’t get them closer to their requests for better working conditions.
Ready for fall 2023 soccer season? Register your child now as it closes July 20. The first game will be Aug. 19 and the last game will be Oct. 7. A tournament will be scheduled Oct. 7.
