Many of you might have noticed the new military banners as you drive through the town center. The township would love to know of other veterans and have a banner made for them as well.
The cost is $50 to purchase a two-by-four-feet banner with a picture of a military veteran to be hung on the township telephone poles. Please provide a clear picture or digital image of the family member, name, years of service, military branch and any awards to be included on the banner.

If your child needs something to do over the summer, Reed Memorial Library in Ravenna has its summer reading program happening right now through July 31. You can sign up through the Beanstack App to log their reading to earn points for prizes. The library also hosts several events, so hop on the website to check it out or stop in the library for more information.
Reed Memorial Library also offers a free lunch program now through Aug. 11. Any child ages 1 to 18 years old can stop at the library for lunch Monday through Friday 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The library is located at 167 E. Main St. in Ravenna.
Main Street Ravenna recently held its Art on Main Event, which was a great success. My bookshop, Books a Go Go, also participated hosting two local authors: Amanda Flower and Edinburg’s own S.A. Schneider. Both were very gracious to meet and greet people and also autographed their books for them.
