I cycled through a range of emotions while attending last Tuesday’s special meeting of Kent’s Planning Commission.
The annual Mogadore Memorial Day Parade will start at 10 a.m. Monday, May 27 at James Street. Suffield Township’s annual Memorial Day Parade will be at 10 a.m. Monday, May 27. Atwater’s Memorial Day Parade will take place Monday, May 27, beginning at noon.
A dystopia is an anti-utopia, the opposite of an ideal community; it’s an extremely alarming situation or a complete breakdown of society. Often in novels such a scenario is postapocalyptic; it springs up after a catastrophically destructive disaster or apocalypse. I’ve been looking at several novels set in such conditions, and I found two recent examples that have good, solid storylines.

Repeating its 3-2 vote of April 23, Kent’s Planning Commission on May 14 approved a conditional use certificate for a 72-bed assisted living facility and 38 independent living units to be built at 1541 S. Water St.
