County roundup: Road work coming to Palmyra, plus news from Edinburg, Franklin, Paris and Rootstown

Palmyra The Palmyra Township Trustees approved the township’s 2024 chip-and-seal project for 5.5 miles of roads. The roads that will be done are Scotts Corners Road, Henderson Road, two sections of Whippoorwill Road and some roads in West Cemetery. Baker: Finding the humor in everything

As I grow older, I find that I take humor to the extreme. You might say I take seriously the concept of NOT taking things too seriously. Some of my friends and family have referred to my humor as “outrageous,” “crazy,” “offbeat” or “weird,” and those are the kinder comments. But for me, life works best and is most enjoyable — no matter what is going on — if I can find humor in everything… and I do mean everything.

Kent’s Art and Wine Festival is June 1

Main Street Kent’s annual Art & Wine Festival is set for 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 1. The event features more than 50 artists, 13 Ohio wineries, eight live music performances and many food trucks. Admission to the downtown fest is free, and wine tasting tickets will be available for sale. Valid IDs are required.
