Aurora The annual Aurora holiday tree lighting festival will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30 in the center of town by Bicentennial Park. Paris The Paris Township Fire Department recently received two grants. One was from the EMS for $4,093.50 to purchase a new cot battery and a new EMS bag, and also to update the department’s air equipment (the boards for the department’s C-PAP). The other was from the Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council/The Cleveland Foundation for $8,080 to purchase 12 new MARCS pagers. Gather the threads of your life and stitch them into joy! Jody Houghton Twice a month, the Country Piecemakers Guild meets at the Randolph Community Center to learn new ways of intertwining fabric. This month, seven members donated patriotic-themed quilts to veterans. Forty hand-made dresses are sent each month to Africa.
