Clapper made a motion to disband the Architectural Review Board (ARB), amended to have every mention of the ARB in their code removed. Seconded by Sidoti, who wants more discussion to clean up current design code. Shaffer Bish encourages they seek out public comment on this but agrees with overall sentiment. The motion passed.

The Portage County Randolph Fair concluded Sunday after a week of beautiful weather. After the sun went down, 4-Hers and visitors enjoyed all things food, trucks, rides and shaving cream fights. Photographer Jeremy Brown photographed some magic moments throughout the week.

The Scotch Doubles Benefit for Michael Schustrich will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6 at SkyLane Bowling at 8311 Windham St. Michael (Mikey) was tragically killed at work, leaving behind his wife and newborn son.

Several students from Southeast High School’s band and choir recently participated in the All-Ohio State Fair Band and Choir during the Ohio State Fair. Five of the choir members were also chosen to be Scarlet Singers and opened for the band Foreigner. Several alumni also made it back to perform with the band and choir as well.

The Portage County Randolph Fair’s grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony took place at the main gate of the county fairgrounds 11 a.m. Tuesday to kick off the near week-long festivities.

There was a huge turnout for the Waterloo Back to School Bash. Besides having a dedication ceremony for the new track and performances by the Waterloo marching band, many wellness organizations were present to share about the services they provide. All proceeds from the PTO raffle went to the Hayes family.
