At a time when civic engagement matters more than ever, our community has a unique opportunity to come together for an inspiring and timely event. We are pleased to invite the public to a free screening of the acclaimed musical SUFFS, a powerful production that tells the story of the women who fought tirelessly for the right to vote, on Friday, May 8, 2026 in the Hayden Auditorium at Hiram College.
Through music, storytelling, and historical insight, SUFFS brings to life the courage, persistence, and determination of the suffragists who helped shape our democracy. Their journey reminds us that progress is not inevitable - it requires participation, commitment and the willingness to stand up for what is right.
The free public viewing is made possible through partnerships with PBS Western Reserve, The Portage Foundation, and Hiram College - organizations that share a commitment to education, civic engagement, and community connection.
We encourage community members to attend, learn, and be inspired. Events like this strengthen our connection to one another and to the democratic principles that guide us.
