I just completed my training for the upcoming Primary Election on March 19 and the Board of Elections is still in need of people to be Precinct Election Officials as they are currently short about 100 people. If you are able to help, there is a four-hour training class to attend before the day of election that you would be compensated $20 for. You receive an additional $130 for working the day of the election. For more information or to sign up, contact the Board of Elections at 330-297-3511.

There are a couple more days to get your child signed up for Southeast Schools Edinburg Baseball & Softball. Registration is live until Feb. 25 by going to http://www.leaguelineup.com and search for Edinburg Baseball or Softball.

Congratulations to all of the Southeast Band and Choir students and directors who participated in the 2024 OMEA Solo and Ensemble competition. They received a combined total of 37 Superior Ratings, 14 Excellent Ratings and one Good Rating.

A special shout out to my daughter, Hannah Klein, who is currently a senior at Notre Dame College of Ohio. She has been a varsity bowler for the school’s team all four years and made history for them two weekends ago at the Hoosier Classic held in Indianapolis. She earned third place on the All Tournament Team out of more than 500 women who participated that day. She was also on the All Tournament Team two years ago at the same event, which is the first time a bowler from Notre Dame has achieved that honor twice. Hannah also recently earned second place in the entire conference season just behind a bowler who is on the Canadian National team when not at school.

Don’t forget to send information to my email at [email protected] by the second Wednesday of the month to be included in the column and thank you.
