Fiscal Officer Jennifer Derthick was unable to attend the meeting after recently suffering two heart attacks. Derthick reported hiring two assistants to serve in her stead at the rate of $20 per hour.

Let’s end the year with one of the best of the year. “The Berry Pickers” by Amanda Peters is many things; it’s a mystery, a family drama, and a really good read.
