Edinburg United Church hosted 59 kids for Vacation Bible School this past August. There were 40 volunteers helping kids craft, sing, play games and dive into Scripture while exploring a friendship with God with a scuba theme.

Citing concerns about intimidation, the U.S. Justice Department will send staff to Portage County to monitor for violations of voting rights laws, the agency said Tuesday.

Portage County Sheriff Bruce Zuchowski is facing new allegations of using labor from the county jail to do work for his reelection campaign.
Almost a year ago, three Portage County cities sued Sheriff Bruce Zuchowski for allegedly keeping money he should have distributed when the Portage County Drug Task Force disbanded in 2021. Today the case remains in pretrial stages.
Watching “The Magic Yarn Project” on the news was a quick reminder of how Suffield’s United Church of Christ is contributing to the project in a big way.
