Township truck stolen from Brimfield Fire Department

Brimfield police are looking for whoever stole a Ford F-150 pickup belonging to the township fire department at about 3 p.m. July 3.

Fire department personnel say the truck, and a township ambulance, were on an EMS call at the Cleveland Clinic Express Care Clinic on state Route 43. Because the vehicle was found abandoned in Green, it is being held at the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, which is conducting an investigation.

Brimfield police say there were reports of the vehicle being driven erratically down the road, passing and possibly damaging other vehicles. The lights and sirens were apparently not activated.

Personnel at the Brimfield Fire Department say they cannot verify the extent of damage to the truck. Tallmadge police recovered parts of the pickup truck near Tallmadge Circle, and returned them to the Brimfield fire station, police say.

Brimfield police have posted on their Facebook page an image of a person they think might be involved. Anyone with any information is asked to call Brimfield police at 330-677-1234 or email [email protected]. Tips may be kept anonymous.
