John William Morrison
John William Morrison, age 83, of Kent, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 4, 2022, with his family by his side.
He was born April 17, 1939, in Wooster, son of the late William Jr. and Edith (nee Brown) Morrison.
John loved all antique cars and especially Mercedes. He was an Officer of the Mercedes-Benz Club of America. John enjoyed old houses, building model trains, was always reading, and loved cookies! He was also a Charter Member of Rootstown Historical Society and an active member of First Congregational UCC in Rootstown. Most importantly, John loved his family and will be greatly missed by all.
John is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Susan (nee Bailie) Morrison; cherished children, Scott Morrison, Megan Morrison, Michael (Kimberly) Morrison, and Steven (Sandi) Morrison; beloved grandchildren, Jack (fiancée Dani), Ellie (Doug) Wait, Jenny, Andrew, Kaitlyn, Allie, and Liam; treasured brother, Robert T. (Carol) Morrison; and four nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will take place on THURSDAY, December 8, 2022 at 5:00 PM at First Congregational United Church of Christ Rootstown, 4022 State Route 44, Rootstown, OH 44272. Friends may call from 3:00 PM until the time of service. Private interment will take place at Standing Rock Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to First Congregational UCC in Rootstown.
