Aurora is seeking volunteers for a citywide cleanup May 8

- Wendy DiAlesandro ,

Aurora’s government, police, local organizations and schools are partnering to pull off a community-wide cleanup from 8 a.m. to noon on May 8.

Teams, groups of friends, local organizations, school groups, clubs, church groups and individuals are needed as volunteers. Participants should plan on meeting at the Aurora High School parking lot at 7:30 a.m. Transportation will be provided to various sites in the city that need to be cleaned up.

Aurora Police Chief Brian Byard asks all participants to dress for the task and the weather, and to bring a water bottle.

For additional information or to sign up, please contact Byard at 330-995-0781 or his executive assistant Roberta Suydam at 330-995-5192. Emails may be sent to Byard at byardb@auroraoh.com or Suydam suydamr@auroraoh.com.
