Around Brimfield: Meet Brimfield's new ornament business
-
Those driving through the recently renovated Brimfield Plaza may have noticed a storefront’s windows filled with festive Christmas trees adorned with beautiful Hallmark ornaments.
Not to be confused with a Hallmark card shop, The Ornament Factory is not affiliated with the chain of Hallmark stores but instead is a unique, privately owned business that sells Hallmark ornaments dated from 1973 through 2025. And while it is the newest store in the plaza, it is not a new business: The Ornament Factory is a thriving online store that has been operating out of a home in Brimfield for 20 years. With an inventory of over 16,000 ornaments, additional space was much needed, so moving to the plaza made perfect sense.

When we walked into the store, we were greeted by a friendly staff. While I am not a Hallmark ornament collector, I was fascinated with the variety of ornaments available. There is something for everyone: muscle cars, motorcycles, trucks, Star Trek, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Barbie and Disney, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story, Easter, Halloween and much, much more. The best way to “shop” the store is to go to www.HallmarkOrnaments.com to peruse the inventory. If you purchase online and pick up in the store, shipping charges will be refunded. Walk-ins are also welcome. I found the perfect ornament for our granddaughter who had a sledding accident last winter, resulting in an ostomy. She never lost her incredible sense of humor, and poop jokes have been common, so I could not resist buying a Christmas-decorated poop ornament that plays “Jingle Bells” using bathroom sounds. The Ornament Factory store holiday hours are 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday; Saturdays are by appointment; and the store is closed Sundays. Finding this store just made my Christmas shopping easier!

Final thought: “Peace is not something you wish for; it’s something you make, something you do, something you are, and something you give away.” – John Lennon
At this time of year when the wish for “Peace on Earth” is widely proclaimed, let us remember that peace is an action word. Make peace with ourselves and others, do peaceful things that promote unity and goodwill, choose to be a peacemaker, and generously give peace by serving others. Most of all, strive to make your home a peaceful and joyful retreat center! Merry Christmas!
