I always say I don’t like thrillers, but of course that isn’t completely true. I love a can’t-put-down page-turner. I just don’t like twisted or gory stuff or personal violence. Happily, three recent books by popular authors fulfill most of my preferences.

Commissioners recently approved a 15-year property tax abatement for LG Chem Ohio Petrochemical, Inc., an arm of LG Chem South Korea, to build a facility in Ravenna.
Mantua Township’s loss is Rootstown’s gain, as county commissioners recently approved a 15-year property tax abatement for Singleton Reels to relocate to the township and more than double the size of its manufacturing facility.

The Portage Park District recently acquired a 112-acre parcel on Seasons Road in Streetsboro as Phase III of its Tinkers Creek Greenway initiative. Its Phase I and II acquisitions were used to create Trail Lake Park, located south of the new property and adjacent to Herrick Fen State Nature Preserve.
