New Townhall II initiative looks to support employers and workers in recovery
- Wendy DiAlesandro ,
Townhall II’s newest initiative is intended to help workplaces support employees in recovery.
Recovery-Friendly Workplace assists employers by providing:
- Training on how to create and support a recovery culture for all employees.
- A Recovery-Friendly Advisor who will help businesses meet their needs while maintaining a recovery-friendly workplace.
- Connection with a wide range of community prevention, treatment and recovery resources.
The program also matches people in recovery with substance use disorders with employers.
“When a recovery-friendly environment is created, people in recovery, and those impacted by substance abuse, can thrive,” says Tamera Hunter, CEO of Townhall II.
Thanks to a grant from the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, employers may participate in Recovery-Friendly Workplace for free.
Businesses or organizations interested in becoming a Recovery-Friendly Workplace should call Townhall II at 330-678-3006 and ask for a Recovery-Friendly Advisor. They may also email recoveryworkplace@townhall2.com.
