Young at Heart organization for 55 and older, meets every 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Immaculate Conception Hall Parish. We gather for meals, meeting and fellowship. All denominations are welcome. To attend or for more information call Sandra at 330-322-0231.

Richard “Poppo” Weiner and Doug Bender are a guitar and bass combo who formed the R&D Duo in 2017. They have played at a variety of venues in Northeast Ohio, including the Kent Blues Fest. Enjoy listening to the R&D Duo play traditional and popular American acoustic blues on the Library’s second floor balcony. All ages are welcome. No registration required. The Concert Series is generously supported by the Friends of Kent Free Library.

The speaker/program is at 7:30pm and is free and open to the public. The speaker for January will be Beth Whipple from the Master Gardeners program, on the spotted lanternfly, an invasive pest that uses Ailanthus altissima, the Tree of Heaven, for its host.
