Around Garrettsville: Theater in the new year, and new businesses in town

- Jackie Loreta-Rinearson

The Curtain up Theatre is proud to present “Charlotte’s Web” at 7 p.m. Jan. 17, 18, 24 and 25 and 1 p.m. Jan. 19 in the Iva Walker Auditorium, directed by Jackie Rinearson, adapted by Joseph Robinette and based on the book by E.B. White, with permission from Dramatic Publishing.

The presentation is sponsored by Jeff Rinearson Health Insurance, Ryser Insurance, Sherri Collins — Realtor, Bella Dawn Events Venue and Carter Lumber. Tickets are available at the door for $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and children under 12 and $5 each for groups of 15 or more.

A beautiful open house was held at the new Bella Dawn Events, erected to life from the old Isaac Mills building and being the oldest building of Nelson. The actual address of Bella Dawn is 9415 S.R. 305, Garrettsville. Private events are being scheduled now and can house up to 175 people. Call 330-235-3196 to make your reservation. Their advertising states all events welcome: weddings, company picnics, business meetings, fundraisers, private parties, incentive trips, team building days, family reunions, retreats and conferences.

Be sure to stop down on Main Street to see the beautiful sights courtesy of the Sip n Shop beautification fund. Step out of your car and wander through the winter wonderland. Stop by the local businesses for coffee, food, books, that special haircut, or other special items.

We are starting to plan the next Sip ‘n’ Shop on Main for July 26. Wineries and artisans may contact Jackie at Rinearson05@frontier.com or Sherri Collins at Sherricollins79@gmail.com.
