The Nelson-Garrettsville Community Cupboard is set to host a unique and interactive murder mystery fundraiser that promises an evening of suspense, intrigue and delectable dining. This year’s event, produced by Curtains Up Theatre, will be “Murder on the 19th Hole” and takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 at Sugar Bush Golf Club in Garrettsville.
This captivating murder mystery will put attendees’ detective skills to the test as they attempt to unravel the perplexing case. Detectives of all ages are encouraged to participate in this exciting event, where the audience plays an essential role in solving the crime.
Tickets for the event are available at $30 per person or $50 per couple, and include both dinner and the murder mystery experience. This annual fundraiser is vital for the NGCC, as it helps provide essential support during the challenging holiday season and winter months when the needs of their clients are at their highest.
Also at Sugar Bush, the Curtains Up Theatre invites you to “The Price is Almost Right” fundraiser set for 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16. Cost of $25 per person includes heavy appetizers and great prizes, with contestants selected randomly from the tickets. Win the whole package behind curtain No. 1 or No. 2. There will also be a cash bar and Chinese auction.

“Charlotte’s Web” auditions will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5 and Thursday, Nov. 7 in James A. Garfield Middle School’s Iva Walker Auditorium.

Great performance by the James A. Garfield marching band! The members of the JAG Marching Pride showed off their skills at the recent Solon Band Bash, where high school marching bands meet yearly to show off their stuff to other bands in the area. Once again, JAG crushed it.
