Around Charlestown: 4-H group honors soldiers at Charlestown Cemetery

Charlestown Township's Cemetery sexton, Kerri Fotheringham was thrilled to have some volunteers help her last month. Every Memorial Day, all veteran's graves are to be marked by an American flag in memory of their service. It's quite a big job to identify, locate and place a flag on each grave. It can take days. The Crazy Critters 4H club and their advisor Shannon Baldasare stepped up to help. All told, there were 13 kids and 7 adults who worked for two hours to complete the task. Thank you to the Crazy Critters and friends who volunteered to to honor our men and women who served our country.

Charlestown United Methodist Church invites you Sundae Funday on Sunday, July 19 from 2-4 p.m.  They will be serving ice cream with a wide variety of toppings and beverages. There will be yard games for all ages and a bounce house. There is no charge and all are welcome! So stop by for a cold treat and some fun.
