Throw out your electronic waste Feb. 25 at the Brimfield recycling center

The Portage County Recycling Center will host an electronic waste drop-off from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 25 at 3588 Mogadore Road in Brimfield.

The turn-off from County Road 18 to Mogadore Road is closed because of construction, so Brimfield Trustee Nic Coia advises motorists to head to state Route 43, then west on Old Forge Road, then north on Mogadore Road. Coming from Old Forge, the center is about a half-mile up on your right.

Acceptable items include computer pieces and parts, cell phones, printers, network equipment, game consoles, cameras and other e-waste. There will be a $10 charge for CRT monitors and television sets, and a $5 charge for printers. Other items are free.

Brimfield renews contract for Flock surveillance cameras

June 24, 2026 - by Wendy DiAlesandro . - Breaking ranks with Kent and Kent State University, the Brimfield Township Trustees recently approved a one-year, $12,000 contract renewal with Flock Safety, a technology company that provides public and private entities with license plate readers and other surveillance capabilities.
