Finance Manager

The Portage Metropolitan Housing Authority (PMHA) is seeking a Finance Manager. The Finance Manager is directly responsible for the management of the agency’s financial operations, which include a budget in excess of $14 million per fiscal year, and supervision of finance department staff. 

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and/or considerable experience in accounting. The ideal candidate will have experience with HUD-assisted housing programs and/or the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program, demonstrate experience in the preparation and analysis of audited financial statements, and have experience that would demonstrate a knowledge of GAAP, GASB, etc. 

Applicant will be subject to driving, drug and background checks. Salary is commensurate with experience and education and will include a full range of benefits, including retirement, health care, paid vacation and sick leave.

Senior Maintenance Mechanic

The Portage Metropolitan Housing Authority is seeking a full-time Senior Maintenance Mechanic. This position is responsible for repairs to and maintenance of buildings and grounds, requiring many skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical and painting. Applicant will be subject to driving, drug and background checks. Maintenance Mechanic

Must have manual skills to carry out a full set of maintenance duties. Applicant will be subject to driving, drug and background checks.
