Suffield Fire Chief Bob Rasnick announced the hiring of the department’s first three full-time firefighter/paramedics.

TJ Fox, Kasey Beaver and Michael Morrison moved from part-time to full-time status on Sept. 3. Including Rasnick, the department now has four full-time staff and 23 part-time members, all of whom are at least firefighter/EMTs.

“It will increase the probability of always having a paramedic on duty, and we’re excited about this new opportunity to serve our community,” Rasnick said.
