School hasn’t even let out for summer vacation, but Portage County Job and Family Services is already looking forward to the 2023-24 school year.
Parents and guardians of children enrolled in grades K-12 and who receive SNAP or TANF benefits may apply for 2023 Back to School clothing vouchers totaling $125 per child.
Applications will be available from June 26 to Aug. 4 at three locations:
- OhioMeansJobs Portage County, located at 253 S. Chestnut St. in Ravenna
- Portage County Job and Family Services, located on the second floor of 449 S. Meridian St. in Ravenna
- Or online at www.portagecounty-oh.gov/jfs
Applicants must indicate whether they intend to use the vouchers at Burlington in Cuyahoga Falls or Gabe’s in Kent. Submit completed applications to either location above or email them to [email protected]. Approvals will be sent in the mail. Vouchers can be picked up starting July 10 at OhioMeansJobs. They must be used at the chosen retailer by Sept. 30.
Job and Family Services notes that funding for this program is limited, so applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
