Susan Reid
Susan Reid, 73, died peacefully on October 2nd at her home in New Boston, Ohio, after a short illness. Predeceased by her parents, Charles and Betty Reid, she is survived by sisters Anne Reid (Bob Howard), Laurie Smith (Larry), Betsy Reid, nephews Christopher and Aaron Smith and Michael Howard, and precious friends Debbie and Tom Osborne. She was an avid sports fan, particularly of the Cleveland Guardians and Ohio State football, and sometimes even the Cleveland Browns.
In her earlier life she enjoyed running and bowling, and her love of music was infectious. Although she had a strong stubborn streak, her love of animals was guaranteed to reignite her joy, especially her beloved dog Maddie. When she laughed it was with her whole body. She enjoyed travel and once had an open-ticket bus tour that took her all the way to the west coast. She also enjoyed exploring new cities, such as Washington DC, New York and Pittsburgh. She will be missed by those who loved her and may yet be heard to be whispering “Go Guardians.” There will be a celebration of life in the future.
