The last surviving child of the late S.D. and Delores Rhodes, Sharlene was also preceded in death by her husband Ronald Morris, her brother Michael Rhodes and her sister Sharon Redfern.

Sharlene worked for many years selling appliances and then as Personnel Manager at the Stow K-Mart. She ended her work career at Myers Appliance in Ravenna, when at age 49 Sharlene was diagnosed with M.S. and endured a full-time, courageous, 27 year battle with this terrible disease.

Sharlene married the love of her life, Ronald Morris, on June 30th, 1962. Sharlene and Ronnie lived in Ravenna most of their lives, aside from a three-year stint in California while Ronnie served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Together they had three children: Kim (Todd) Garland of Newton Falls, Tina (Michael) Whitmore of Ravenna, and Mark (Kim) Morris of Champion. Sharlene is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Mom had a beautiful smile, loved wandering along the ocean with Dad, was a stylish dresser, and was always perfectly put together. She was a proud, stubborn, strong and beautiful woman who dearly loved her family. The family would like especially to thank Mark and Kim Morris for being Mom’s primary caregivers, chief hair-dressers, housekeepers, constant repairmen, and diligent companions for so many years. Mom had the best quality of life possible because of your daily help.

A graveside service at Maplegrove Cemetery in Ravenna, will be held at a later date.
