Dr. Phillip Hollendoner

Dr. Phillip Hollendoner died on July 7 at his home in Kent. He was born in Akron, Ohio on February 17, 1941. Preceding him in death were his parents, Paul and Ella, and his brother Fred. Phil was a graduate of Akron Garfield High School where he was captain of the football team. Phil went on Akron University where was active in the Lone Star Fraternity, then to Ohio State Dental School. After graduating, he served in the US Army for three years, including a one year tour in Vietnam. Returning to Ohio, he established a dental practice in Kent. After 20 years, he changed careers and owned and operated several Ohio Discount Golf stores. He leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Vicki, and children Amy (Dan) Fagan, Ann (Phil) Faulhaber, and Joe (Nicole) Hollendoner, sister Phyllis Estis and sisters and brother in law Sandra Graham and Patricia and Jay Falls, and several nieces and nephews.

Phil thoroughly enjoyed life. He loved family vacations and the great hunting, fishing, and golf trips with his friends. But his most special joy were his grandchildren, Ella and Caroline Fagan, Sarah and Lauren Faulhaber, and Parker Hollendoner.

As per his wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Condolences may be shared online at www.heritagecremationsociety.com
