Robert D. McIntosh

Robert D. McIntosh, 49, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday July 11, 2025. He was born on March 26, 1976, in Akron, Ohio to Douglas and Carol McIntosh. Rob enjoyed playing youth baseball and soccer. He was a PCL wrestling champion in 8th grade. In high school, Rob played baseball for four years and played alto saxophone in the band. After graduating from Crestwood High School in 1994, he attended Virginia Wesleyan College and graduated from Kent State with a BA degree. Rob worked for Commercial Turf Products and several steel companies. He continued his education by becoming a CNC machinist. Rob loved the following: hot spicy foods, his dog Mac, spending time with his grandparents and cousins, puzzles, listening to WNIR talk radio, and watching Jeopardy with his parents. He loved hard rock music, playing his guitar, piano, saxophone, and harmonica. He was an avid baseball fan, remembering stats, players, records, etc., and never missed listening to an Indians / Guardians game. He could fix any engine, loved woodworking and mowing grass. Precious memories of Robert live on with his parents, brother Doug (Suzanne) of Chagrin Falls, sister Jennifer of Colonial Heights, Virginia; niece A. J., nephew Nate; aunts and uncles Ron McIntosh and Nancy, Gordon and Allisande McIntosh, Diane Rose, Linda McIntosh and many cousins and friends, all of whom remember him fondly and miss him greatly. Robert was preceded in death by his grandparents Ed and Florence McIntosh, Wade and Jeanette Rose, Ed and Lila McIntosh, George Rose, and Floyd and Mary Searcy. In lieu of flowers, his family suggests memorial donations to Portage APL, the Portage County Animal Shelter, or your choice of animal rescue services. A Celebration of life will be held Saturday July 26, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Portage Faith United Methodist Church, 9922 State Rt. 44, Mantua, Oh 44255. Barbara Jean McElroy, 72 of Kent Ohio passed away unexpectedly on July 16, 2025. Born on February 2, 1953, in Ravenna, Ohio. Barbara spent most of her life in the Ravenna and Kent communities, she loves so deeply.
Russell Workman
Russell Workman, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, in Tallmadge, Ohio, at the age of 79. Born on March 22, 1946, in Logan, West Virginia, Russell was the son of the late Lenvil and Della (Hall) Workman.
Doris L. Pearce
Doris L. Pearce, (nee Sebring), age 91 of Shalersville Twp., passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, in Aurora, Ohio. Born on May 30, 1934, in Knox Township, PA, Doris’s journey through life was marked by an unwavering dedication to her family, a deep commitment to her community, and a heart that knew no bounds.
