Brian Edmund Gregor
Brian Edmund Gregor, 74, passed away on August 18, 2024, at UH Portage Medical Center. He was born on June 3, 1950, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Joseph and Florence (Heinrich) Gregor. Brian was a dedicated member of Crossroads Community Church and had served as a Lieutenant in the Civil Air Patrol, United States Air Force Auxiliary. He retired from a fulfilling career as a distribution manager at The Plain Dealer and was an avid lover of history, storytelling and jokes. In his free time Brian enjoyed socializing, fishing and cherished family vacations to Acker’s Point Resort in Michigan. Brian is survived by his sister Pat (Chuck) Luchka, his nieces Karen (James) Luchka Wingo and Laura (Jesse) Reinschmidt; his daughter Chelsea Gregor; his son Mitchell Gregor and his wife Kayleigh; and his beloved grandchildren Delia, Declan and Finn. Calling hours for Brian will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home, 141 N. Meridian St. Ravenna, OH 44266, from 3pm-5pm followed by a short service at 5pm. Brian will be dearly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Portage County Historical Society.

It is with great sadness we announce the death of our loving father and husband, Daniel Louis Rhodes. Dan died on Monday, August 26, 2024, at home after a brief but aggressive battle with cancer. He was 85 years old.
