Lola Sorbara
Lola Sorbara, of Rootstown, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 7th, 2026. She was born on June 22, 1934, and was one of six children. She is survived by her sisters, Dee Echnat and Karen Shaffer. She lived a long life centered around family, love, and quiet strength.
Lola was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Sorbara. She was a loving mother to Vicki (Tim) Sorbara-Miller, Joe (Janet) Sorbara, and Mark (Mary Testa) Sorbara, and was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Janet Sorbara.
Lola worked many years in the banking industry, where she was known for her dedication and kindness to everyone she met. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Andria (Sam) Phillips, Jennifer Contracier, Chris (Kathy) Miller, Stephanie (Josh) Cummings, and Robi (Ryan) Cucerzan, and a cherished great-grandmother to Kyle, Madison, Chloe, Zoe, Ava, Giovanni, Liam, Isabella and Nathan. Her family was the center of her world, and she took great joy in watching it grow.
Lola will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, acceptance, and the love she gave so freely to those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of family, strength, and cherished memories that will live on in all who knew her.
There will be no services scheduled at this time.
