Kent American Legion Post 496 presented this year’s Memorial Day parade in downtown Kent, commemorating the service members who have given the ultimate sacrifice.

The parade began on East Main Street near Willow Street. There was a brief ceremony on the Main Street Bridge, and the commemoration concluded at Standing Rock Cemetery.

Photographer John Roebke was present and submitted these photos of the event for The Portager.
