Hometown Bank recently announced the retirement of longtime Public Relations Officer Marilyn Sessions. Sessions started working at Hometown Bank as a human resource representative in 2002.
She was promoted to Human Resource and Training Officer after only a year at Hometown Bank. After shifting to public relations in 2018, she was promoted to Public Relations officer in 2022. In recent years, Sessions has expanded her role to include community outreach.
Sessions is deeply involved in the Kent community and has devoted her time as a volunteer for United Way, Main Street Kent, Kent Jaycees, Kent City Schools and more. She has been honored as a civilian leader by the Portage County Sheriff Department and the Kent Police Department.
Customers and colleagues are invited to celebrate Sessions and her retirement at Hometown Bank with light refreshments throughout the day on Dec. 30 and 31.
Sessions says she plans to continue her volunteer work with a variety of organizations, and will enjoy spending more time with her golden retrievers and traveling.
