Waterloo Local School District has selected Angela Terella to replace outgoing superintendent Shawn Braman, who departs this summer to take a job at Northwest Local Schools in Canal Fulton.

Terella will leave her position as curriculum director at Summit Educational Service Center, according to a Randolph Township announcement. She had previously been a high school principal at Euclid City Schools and a principal in Sheffield-Sheffield Lake City School District. She has also been a language arts teacher and a school psychologist.

“The dedication of the community members to the school district, staff and students is inspiring,” she said in a statement. “To be able to be a part of a team that is so committed to continuing to develop opportunities for students is an amazing opportunity.”

Terella starts as Waterloo superintendent in June.
