Bring your beauty to Suffield’s first cruise-in car show next month

- Wendy DiAlesandro ,

Suffield trustees are set to host the first Suffield Community Cruise-in car show from noon to 6 p.m. June 13 at the Suffield Town Hall and Fire Station.

With pandemic restrictions loosening, Trustee Jeff Eldreth said the cruise-in is an opportunity to bring the community together. As the event is outside, people can mingle or maintain as much social distance as they desire.

Registration is not necessary, and car enthusiasts can be from anywhere. Cars will not be judged, just enjoyed. This is the first of what they hope will become an annual event.

For folks who are not into cars, the Suffield Community Church will provide a bounce house for kids, and food trucks will provide ice cream and hot dogs. There will also be a DJ.

The event is free and open to the public.

Around Ravenna: Warm up with these community events coming up this month

- by Angie Reedy. - by The 39th annual Celebration of Lights was held in December at the University Hospitals Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, hosted by the hospital’s Auxiliary. It was a successful evening and the committee wants to thank everyone who came, donated money or helped in any way for their participation, and especially Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes for its sponsorship.
