Garrettsville Games is now open in Sky Plaza across from Cal’s Restaurant on Windham Street. Open noon to 7 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. Open noon to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Stop in and check out the great variety of games at great prices. 


St. Ambrose is still running bingo on the first and third Tuesday of the month. Doors open at 5:45 p.m., with Early Bird starting at 6:45 p.m. All players must be at least 18 years of age. St Ambrose is located at 10692 Freedom St. in Garrettsville.


Don’t forget wing night at the Eagles Club from 5 to 8 p.m. every Tuesday. This event is open to the public. The Eagles Club is located at 8149 Water Street in Garrettsville.


Peaches, peaches and more peaches … the Car Cruise at the fire station will again take place with the Chamber of Commerce’s Peach Social. The Dennis Chandler Band will entertain the crowd. Come down from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12 and view the spectacular cars and fill your belly with peach pie, vanilla ice cream or both.


James A. Garfield Schools are just about ready to welcome back the students. Students’ first day is Monday, Aug. 28, with kindergarten due Thursday, Aug. 31.
