The Edinburg United Church will have two upcoming events for the community. First up is their Rummage Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8. Community members can reserve a spot for just $15. If you need a table as well, it is an additional $5. Stop at the church to register. They will also have Bill Starcher Art there as well as The Weiner Guy. Members have been busy collecting school supplies to hand out that day to those who need them. The church is located at 4081 Rock Spring Road.
The Edinburg United Church will also be hosting a Fall Craft Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17. If you would like to participate as a vendor, spots are available for $30 each that include a 6-foot table and two chairs. Contact Trista Hughes for an application at 330-221-1594. Applications are due by Sept. 12. Admission to customers the day of the event is free.
The 13th annual Danny Writtenberry Memorial Golf Outing, to take place on Saturday, Aug. 8, is open for registration. The event is hosted by the Southeast Athletic Boosters and will be held at Old Dutch Mill Golf Course. A Four Person Scramble begins at 8 a.m. for $100 per person. The cost includes golf, beverages, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Contact Bruce Leifeit at 330-885-1327 or Brenda Thomas at 330-310-1515 to register. The Old Dutch Mill Golf Course is located at 2745 Grandview Drive, Lake Milton.
Here’s a few reminders about ongoing community meetings. Edinburg Township Trustee meetings are held on the second and last Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m. The Edinburg Ohio Historical Society holds their monthly meetings on the second Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. Both of these organizations meet at the Edinburg Town Hall, 6856 Tallmadge Road, Rootstown.
The Portage County-Randolph Fair will be here before you know and fair entry applications are open now until Aug. 15. Find the applications online at randolphfair.com or stop at the Fair Office located at 4215 Fairground Road. They are currently open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. You can also purchase tickets there now as well.
