Retirement party for Janet Esposito set for March 30

After over 33 years in public service, County Auditor Janet Esposito retired on March 10. To celebrate the milestone, her friends and colleagues will honor her at a retirement reception at 5 p.m. March 30 at the Kent American Legion Hall, 1945 Mogadore Road.

Anyone whose life has been touched by Esposito — and that’s a good number of people, across the political spectrum — is welcome to attend and wish her well.

“It’s not a partisan event. Our goal is to have the room full to show Janet as much community love as we possibly can,” Portage County Republican Party Chairwoman Amanda Suffecool said.

Anyone who wishes to share photos may visit the Citizens to Elect Esposito Auditor page on Facebook. Esposito’s daughter, Laura Esposito, hopes to arrange a slide show to honor and entertain her mom.

Light refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to the public. No RSVPs are needed as the reception will be more along the lines of an open house than a formal program.
