Randolph candidates night to be held Sept. 25

The Randolph Lions Club will host its annual candidates night at 7 p.m. Sept. 25 at the Randolph Township Community Center, behind the Randolph Fire Station at 1639 Route 44.

All candidates and issues that will be on the November ballot will be discussed, with candidates and proponents of the issues on hand to field questions.

In attendance will be: Portage County Mental Health & Recovery Board Executive Director John Garrity; Waterloo schools Superintendent Angela Terella; incumbent Waterloo school board candidate Patti Ann Wittensoldner; Portage Park District Executive Director Christine Craycroft; Portage County Board of Developmental Disabilities Superintendent John Vennetti; Randolph trustee John Lampe; Randolph trustee Nick Reynolds; a representative from the Randolph Fire Department; and fiscal officer Mary Rodenbucher.

Documenters: Kent City Council meeting for May 20, 2026

- by Noell Wolfgram Evans. - Shaffer Bish had the only new business. A resident contacted her regarding a beer-pong table that has become what she called “a fixture” in her neighbor’s yard. Shaffer Bish asked council to take up the item as a potential code issue in a future committee meeting. All members voted yes to move this concern forward.
