Susan Kravetz

Susan Kravetz, 58, of Streetsboro, Ohio died on June 19, 2024 surrounded by loved ones after a courageous three year battle with cancer. Susan was a wonderful and giving mother, sister, daughter, and friend. Daughter of Bob and Kathy Kravetz, Susan was born on February 6, 1966 in Garfield Heights, Ohio.

She graduated from Streetsboro High School in 1984 and then attended Kent State University where she was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Finance. Susan had an enormous heart. Susan’s strength and determination defined her character, especially during her battle with cancer. Throughout her illness, she faced each day with a remarkable spirit, smiling and maintaining an unwavering optimism that touched all who knew her. Her resilience, faith, and immense heart were a source of inspiration to everyone around her.

Family was paramount in Susan’s life. She was a devoted mother to her son, Austin Borrero, born in June 1998, and they shared a special bond over their mutual love for pets and gaming. Susan also cherished her close relationship with her parents, Bob and Kathy, who helped raise Austin, and the four of them spent significant time together as a family. Susan and her mother enjoyed shopping together and visiting formal flower gardens and parks for ideas to use at home.

Many memories were made as the family completed multiple cross country vacations while Susan and her sisters were young. During these last few years, an adventurous spirit arose and she took several enjoyable trips with her sisters and family. Susan was constantly interested in learning and taking on new craft projects and was significantly talented in embroidery and crocheting. She loved spending time shopping and meeting friends out for breakfast.

Susan’s Catholic faith was a source of strength and comfort throughout her life, grounding her in times of challenge and guiding her with its enduring values.

Susan was a property accountant at IRG Realty Advisors since 2008. She loved her work family and continued to work as long as she could. She had the most decorated workstation and each year on her birthday would bring in many cakes to share. Prior to that she worked as a banker at First Merit Bank.

Susan was preceded in death by her son Austin Borrero, her brother Bobby Kravetz, and grandparents John and Lillian Frater and John and Katarina Kravetz. She is survived by her parents Bob and Kathy Kravetz, sisters Dianne Turoff (Michael), Karyn Kravetz (Rob Young), nieces Vivian and Cecelia Hall, nephews Jack and Sam Ziessler and Jimmy Hall, honorary daughter Kayla Steinmetz and baby Ember, and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
