Main Street Kent’s annual Art and Wine Festival had downtown jumping all day long June 7 with its festive assortment of music, wineries, and food and craft vendors.

A total of 13 Ohio wineries were featured at the event, along with eight food vendors and two rows of booths with vendors from across the state showcasing their shops.
The wineries offered tastings of wines in a variety of styles. Participating wineries included Cherry Road Winery in Massillon, CLE Urban Winery in Cleveland Heights, Debonne Vineyards in Madison, Feisty Brood Meadery in Northfield, Ferrante Winery in Geneva and It’s Your Winery in Medina.

Other popular stops for attendees were Lincoln Way Vineyards and Troutman Vineyards in Wooster, Lost Trail Winery in Canton, Nauti Vine Winery in Akron, West Main Street Winery in Ravenna, the Winery at Versailles in Versailles and the Winery at Wolf Creek in Barberton.
Meanwhile, two stages were set up at the event, enabling performers to provide music for attendees throughout the day. At Hometown Bank Plaza, the music began with Randy Horvath and was followed by the Josee McGee Duo, The Rare Birds and Buffalo Ryders. Over at the Brewhouse Patio, Federico Tribuzzo kicked off the day’s music, followed by the Marilyn DeFrange Band, the Wallace Coleman Band and City of Invention.
Vendor booths featured a variety of small businesses that included Only Steph Creations, which offered colorful drawings of celebrities, and Linked by Laur, which creates permanent jewelry. Food options included lobster rolls from the Cousins Maine Lobster truck and burgers from the Roll Call food truck.
