The Garden Club of Kent will hold the Mothers' Day Hanging Basket sale on Friday May 12 and Saturday May 13 from 8:00am to 6:00pm at the Ode to Joy Center, 480 Ravenna Road, Kent/Streetsboro. Come early for the best selection.
Please join us for our annual Spring book sale at Pierce Streetsboro Library. All proceeds are used to provide funding to the Pierce Streetsboro Library for programs and supplies.
During this walk we will look at historic photos and learn what life was like in Ravenna in the early 20th century. This walk is approximately 1 mile, and will last about 1 hour. Kevin Gray, Vice President of the Portage County Historical Society, will lead the tour. Tours are weather dependent. Please dress accordingly and wear comfortable walking shoes. We'll meet at the front of the library near the Main Street entrance. Limited to 20 participants.

Richard “Poppo” Weiner and Doug Bender are a guitar and bass combo who formed the R&D Duo in 2017. They have played at a variety of venues in Northeast Ohio, including the Kent Blues Fest. Enjoy listening to the R&D Duo play traditional and popular American acoustic blues on the Library’s second floor balcony. All ages are welcome. No registration required. The speaker/program is at 7:30pm and is free and open to the public. The speaker for January will be Beth Whipple from the Master Gardeners program, on the spotted lanternfly, an invasive pest that uses Ailanthus altissima, the Tree of Heaven, for its host.
