Windham Township
The Windham Township Trustees have put a moratorium on data centers in the township for the foreseeable future.
“We’re working with our code. We went to Regional Planning, and they had some changes and suggestions, so we’re still doing that back and forth,” township Vice Chair Rich Gano said. “I’m not overly concerned because we only have one industrial piece of property, and it’s not big enough for a data center. There’s no water, either, and you can’t drill a well on the site. So they can’t have septic tanks and [there are] no water wells.”
Village of Windham
Windham Village Council passed a resolution to contract Geauga Paving to do some road resurfacing this summer.
Freedom
Freedom Township has received Ohio Public Works Commission funding that will pay for the chip-and-sealing of part of Hewins Road. Bids will be accepted until noon June 18.
