Mogadore
Mogadore Village Council passed legislation to advertise for bids for Mogadore’s trash and recycling for residents. The village has an aggregate trash program, and its five-year contract with Kimble Trash and Recycling is up.
Mogadore will have its annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony on Monday, May 26. The parade will start at 10 a.m. on James Street by the Mogadore Branch Library and conclude at Greenwood Cemetery at 3809 Mogadore Rd., where the ceremony will be held.
Summit County E-Waste Recycling Solutions will host an electronics recycling day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 7 in the Mogadore Municipal Building parking lot at 135 S. Cleveland Ave. Items that will be accepted include computers, printers, cell phones, modems and televisions. There will also be a mobile hard-drive shredder on site.
Said Mayor Mike Rick, “They have this every two or three years.”

Stay Active and Independent for Life (SAIL) is a program designed to enhance strength, balance and overall fitness in adults. Engaging in regular exercises that build strength and improve balance is one of the most effective ways for people to remain active. Randolph
Randolph’s annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony will take place Monday, May 26. The parade will start at 10 a.m. at the Randolph Township garage on Waterloo Road and conclude at Old School Park. After the parade, a ceremony honoring veterans will take place right outside the Randolph Township Hall at 1639 state Route 44, followed by a speaker from the Randolph Lions Club.
The Randolph Fire Department will host its annual pancakes and eggs breakfast starting at 7 a.m. on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26. Bacon, sausage, orange juice and coffee will also be served. There is a fee.
Atwater
In preparation for Atwater’s annual Memorial Day Parade, which begins at noon Monday, May 26, the Atwater Fire Department put up American flags throughout the township, and the road workers hung banners honoring past and present local military members.
The Atwater Fire Department had a total of 41 incidents during the month of April.
The Atwater Firefighters Association made a donation of $500 to the Waterloo Music Boosters.

Suffield
Suffield’s fifth annual classic car show will take place from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 8 at the township offices at 1262 Waterloo Rd. Food trucks that will be there include Duma Meats and Kettle Corn.
“We had about 200 cars last year,” township Chair Jeff Eldreth said. “But we don’t give prizes out. It’s more of a community gathering and talk session.”
