The construction on Hudson Road is about to enter its fourth phase, but it needs to be rebid before moving forward because the previous bids were more than 10% higher than the Portage County Engineering Office’s estimate. The office plans to reopen bidding at the July 11 trustee meeting; if a bid is approved, phase four construction will begin soon. 

At 9 a.m. the meeting was promptly started with the Pledge of Allegiance. The June 1 meeting minutes were approved via roll call, Vice President Sabrina Christian-Bennett was not in attendance. 

The Theodore Roosevelt High School Choir will finally host its alumni celebration after three years of postponement because of the pandemic at the 53rd annual POPs concert.

After a year of major infrastructure projects and a bicentennial celebration, Streetsboro will focus this year on building community, said Mayor Glenn Broska in his State of the City talk Feb. 15.
