The Suffield Lions Club will hold its Annual Mother’s Day Rose Sale on Saturday, May 9. The sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. or until sold out. The Lions will be outside at the Suffield Town Hall located at the corner of St. Rt. 43 and Route 224. This will make it an easy drive-by pick up.
The beautiful, fresh roses come in a variety of colors including red, pink, yellow, white, orange and lavender. You can also order your dozen roses by calling 330-699-6856, or you can order online at suffieldlionsclub.org. The roses are the same price as last year: $25.00 per dozen. Your mothers and/or loved ones will enjoy and appreciate the beautiful roses and your thoughtfulness.
Also, Suffield is holding a Farmers Market on Saturday, May 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Suffield Townhall. The outdoor market will feature homemade goods and produce. Vendors are welcome and can register to sign up by calling 330-807-0384.
The Bingo Social Group met together again April 1. The bingo players meet every Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Suffield Fire Station Community Room. They take a few months off in the winter because of possible icy weather. It is a great time to meet, catch up and have some fun!
The Crafted Artisan Meadery Book Club will meet the third Wednesday of the month, May 20 at 6 p.m. The book discussion will be on “Party of Liars” by Kelsey Cox. Everyone is welcome to attend. It’s a great time to share different opinions or hear various other insights on the book selection.
If you are not a reader, you might enjoy joining the trivia group which meets at the same time, 6 p.m. The meadery has a list of various enjoyable activities and events going on each month.
