Deerfield Ag Services is launching a new Fair Funding Starter Scholarship Program to offset the cost of livestock 4-H projects during the 2022 fair season.

Scholarship awards will be tiered based on the general cost of different livestock projects and are intended to make starting projects more accessible for the young 4-H’ers.

The first tier offers $25 for rabbit and poultry projects, which could cover the price of the animal. The highest tier provides up to $350 for beef projects, which can cost thousands of dollars and require thousands of pounds of feed to raise.

The scholarship program is available to junior fair exhibitors in Portage, Stark, Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties.

Visit https://deerfieldagservices.com/fair-funding-starter-scholarship-program/ to register for the scholarship program before March 31.

The enrollment deadline for 4-H clubs is April 1. Go here for information on how to join the right club.
