An enduring and necessary virtue of cities, towns and villages across Ohio and America is the willingness of their voters to tax themselves to support their schools. Without such support, financial and otherwise, a community’s schools cannot reach their full potential to benefit each year’s students.
It’s also true across Ohio and America —and at Ravenna — that strong and vibrant schools are a necessary ingredient for strong and vibrant communities.
As a beneficiary of the Ravenna School System for a full 13 years, and all the years thereafter, I hope very much that the Ravenna voters will approve the more-than-important school levy on the upcoming May ballot.
In sincere affection for my hometown and in respect for the institutions that can help ensure that Ravenna is a strong, durable, and thriving community.
