Holiday toy drive will benefit 172 children in Portage County’s care

- Wendy DiAlesandro

Portage County Job & Family Services is hosting a Holiday Toy Drive Thru from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Portage County Administration Building at 449 S. Meridian St. in Ravenna.

Residents are asked to bring new, unwrapped gifts, gift cards, and monetary donations to ensure that the county’s children receive something for Christmas. Gift cards and monetary donations may also be mailed to: Portage County JFS, c/o Fiscal–Presents for Kids, 449 S. Meridian St., Ravenna, OH 44266.

Donations will benefit children being served by JFS’ Child Protective Division. As of Nov. 24, JFS was responsible for 172 children.

A written acknowledgement for the charitable contribution will be available at the drop-off.

For more information or questions about JFS’ Presents for Kids campaign, contact Kellijo Jeffries at 330-297-2226 or email her at Kellijo.Jeffries@jfs.ohio.gov.
